MM Kotkamills is a subsidiary of the MM Group located in Finland. The Kotka mill manufactures innovative products developed from renewable natural resources, namely wood. Responsibly manufactured products include consumer packaging board suitable for food end use and high-quality Absorbex® Saturating Kraft Paper. Easily recyclable ALASKA® virgin fibre cartonboard products have been manufactured since 2016, and in 2018, the company started the production of water-based dispersion-based barrier board grades that can replace plastic for use in food service and other packaging and tableware. The Kotka mill employs more than 500 people and MM Group over 13 000 people.

Job requirements

We are looking for a Business Analyst to join our Finance department with a permanent contract. The job is located in Kotka.

This role is a combination of business controlling and analytics, where you provide accurate and reliable information for decision-making. You actively develop reporting and analytics to be more efficient and transparent. Your responsibilities include participation in monthly, quarterly, and annual closings as well as budgeting and forecasting processes. You are responsible for collecting, processing, and validating financial and operational data from various sources. Proficiency in Power BI is essential as you structure and visualize data. You will be part of different projects regarding reporting automation and data processing.

We require education, for example, a bachelor’s degree in accounting and at least 1-3 years of experience in controlling, business analytics, or data analytics. You need to have excellent Power BI skills for reporting and visualization as well as practical experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, MS Dynamics AX) in a financial environment. Excel skills are a must-have.

Due to the nature of finance, it is important to be proactive, analytical, and have a keen eye for details. As the work environment may be busy at times, you need to have good tolerance when it comes to pressure. We expect you to have good communication skills and team spirit!

The role is hybrid work, but we would like to see you at the office weekly.
